Vermund and Battahl treat the Arisen differently, placing the journey inside two distinct societies. Out on the road, large monsters and unexpected encounters make the party's composition part of how you explore.
Different skills create different ways through combat. A Fighter uses sword and shield in close combat; an Archer attacks distant or elevated targets; a Mage supports the group with spells and healing. More specialized vocations add other approaches, so choosing a role changes the actions available during a fight.
AI companions supply the other parts of the party. You design a main Pawn and travel with companions whose abilities can complement your own. Their roles matter when the Arisen cannot cover every task, giving party composition a purpose even though there are no human-controlled co-op companions beside you.
Large enemies invite more than attacks at ground level. Some approaches let you cling to enemies and exploit openings, while the surrounding environment can provide an advantage. Reading the monster and the ground beneath it creates options beyond exchanging damage in a fixed combat arena.
