Ragnarök continues Kratos and Atreus's Norse story with an adventure that alternates demanding fights, exploration and quieter character moments. Its equipment systems support experimenting without losing the focus on their journey.
Adapt your attacks to the enemy in front of you. The Leviathan Axe, Blades of Chaos and Guardian Shield provide different ways to attack and defend. New abilities for Kratos and Atreus expand the options as the story progresses. The appeal is combining those tools in encounters against creatures, monsters and gods.
Search beyond the next story objective. The journey moves through distinct landscapes across the Norse realms. Exploring them places their inhabitants and dangers around the main story, giving changes of pace between battles. Kratos and Atreus are looking for answers, so discovery matters alongside fighting.
Return for a different combat challenge. After the main story, New Game+ offers additional progression, equipment and enemy adjustments. Valhalla is a free downloadable follow-up focused on Kratos after Ragnarök. These give the combat more room to develop; neither is an exclusive reason to buy Digital Deluxe.
