INSIDE HORIZON FORBIDDEN WEST
Forbidden West extends Aloy's journey into a frontier threatened by storms and blight. Exploration provides context and resources, while machine encounters reward selecting tools for the danger in front of you.
Match weapons and traps to the encounter. Aloy fights machines and mounted human enemies using weapons, equipment and traps crafted from salvaged parts. Preparation lets you choose how to enter the encounter instead of relying on the same response to everything. Large machines make attention to position and equipment especially useful.
Follow the frontier beyond its surface. The open world spans distinct landscapes across a far-future America. Moving between them turns exploration into more than travelling along a road to the next quest. The changing terrain and remnants of the old world give Aloy's discoveries a wider context.
Connect the people to the larger mystery. Aloy's search for the cause of Earth's decline brings returning friends and new factions into the story. Making sense of the ancient past is part of understanding the present danger. That narrative continues the world introduced in Horizon Zero Dawn without changing the game's single-player focus.
