A fire threatens Caledon University while Chloe struggles with nightmares and conflicting memories. Playing both women gives you two perspectives on the same crisis, with the fate of people on campus depending on what they uncover.
Rewind changes conversations and environmental puzzles. Max's power lets you undo and redo decisions as you work through the mystery. Revisiting an exchange can open a different line of inquiry, while manipulating events gives puzzles a time-based element beyond simply finding the right object.
Words become a tool for pushing past resistance. Chloe approaches people with wit, confrontation and carefully chosen put-downs. Her sections ask you to read a conversation and choose how to challenge someone, providing a different way to investigate from Max's ability to turn time back.
Investigating Caledon determines who can be saved. The approaching disaster brings the characters' stories into one deadline. Finding the people responsible and deciding how to act can change who survives, so attention to relationships and evidence carries weight beyond the immediate dialogue scene.
