INSIDE MOUSE: P.I. FOR HIRE
MOUSE combines a noir investigation with movement-heavy first-person action. Its hand-drawn black-and-white animation and jazz score set the tone, while weapons and traversal keep the detective story moving.
Follow a missing-person case into a wider conspiracy. Pepper searches Mouseburg for clues as the case leads toward corruption, kidnapping and murder. Armed gangs and crooked police stand between him and the truth. The investigation gives context to the action without turning the game into a purely dialogue-led detective adventure.
Keep moving when the firefight opens up. The arsenal combines familiar firearm ideas with exaggerated cartoon effects. Consumable power-ups can change the balance of a difficult encounter, and boss fights test movement as well as shooting. The game leans toward a fast retro-shooter rhythm rather than slow cover exchanges.
Use new movement abilities to explore Mouseburg. Wall-running, grappling and double-jumping open routes through film studios, opera buildings, swamps and sewers. Unlockable abilities support returning to spaces from a different angle. Cases and collectibles give reasons to look beyond the most direct route.
