INSIDE NIOH 2
Your custom protagonist combines human weapon training with demonic powers in a supernatural Sengoku-era Japan. The two sides give you different resources to manage as increasingly varied enemies test the build.
Develop a preferred weapon through distinct moves and skill trees. Weapon types offer different reach and attack patterns, from transforming Switchglaives to agile Hatchets. Skills let you emphasize counters, heavy pressure or quick strings. Loot, forging and equipment choices make weapon preference part of the longer progression.
Use Burst Counters and equipped Soul Core yokai powers. A well-timed Burst Counter can interrupt a dangerous attack and damage the enemy's Ki. Soul Cores obtained from yokai let you use their abilities yourself, drawing on the Anima gauge. Choosing which powers to equip adds a tactical layer beyond weapon attacks.
Transform through Brute, Feral or Phantom Yokai Shift forms. Fill the Amrita gauge to transform into a yokai form determined by the equipped Guardian Spirit. Brute, Feral and Phantom styles emphasize different strengths, including force, speed or range. The limited duration makes choosing when to transform part of the fight.
