INSIDE SILENT HILL: TOWNFALL

Read the signal, not just the street

Townfall builds horror through limited sight, sound and uncertainty. St. Amelia feels recently inhabited, making its empty spaces and fragments of ordinary life part of the mystery. Progress comes from interpreting that place while deciding how to move through its threats.

First-person exploration

Stay aware of what lies outside your view. Seeing through Simon's eyes restricts what you can take in at once. Sound becomes a way to judge nearby danger while exploring the town's streets and interiors. The tension comes from having to continue without complete information, rather than treating every encounter as a clearly marked combat arena.

The CRTV

Use a handheld signal to investigate. The CRTV replaces the familiar radio with a device used to scout roaming monsters and find clues. You hold it while moving through the island, linking investigation with the immediate task of staying safe. Its role makes searching and threat awareness parts of the same interaction.

A story uncovered through puzzles

Connect fragments of St. Amelia's past. Puzzles communicate pieces of the narrative alongside cinematics and environmental details. Simon's search to put things right gradually reveals what happened to the town and its community. Players who enjoy assembling a mystery from clues have something to pursue beyond reaching the next frightening scene.

THE DETAILS THAT MATTER

Buying questions

Townfall uses a first-person perspective and follows Simon in St. Amelia. It is a separate story with its own device, puzzles and approach to tension.

It helps Simon scout roaming monsters, look for puzzle clues and investigate the island. It is an active part of exploration rather than only a story prop.

No. Puzzles and details in the environment also reveal fragments of the town's past. Paying attention while exploring contributes to understanding the narrative.
