A supernatural flood has torn through the port city, and the search for a loved one leads into its cause. The setting connects ruined streets, damaged buildings and submerged routes into a place you gradually learn to navigate.
Manage supplies and use refuge to prepare for difficult fights. Keep track of inventory as you move deeper into Arkham. Some fights can be met directly; others are better approached after retreating to rearm or change your build. Brief places of refuge create a rhythm of risk, recovery and another attempt.
Investigate optional cases for routes, supplies and weapon upgrades. Read journals, examine ritual traces and pursue cases away from the main route. These investigations do not block story progress, but they can reveal safer routes, supplies and weapon upgrades. Curiosity has a concrete use when the next fight is already demanding.
Unlock shortcuts through the flooded districts to revisit resources. Travel through water-worn districts and uncover connections behind damaged streets and seawalls. Unlocked shortcuts let you double back for resources and upgrades. Learning how the city fits together reduces the cost of exploring it again.
